4. Restore Wizard - Overview
Recovering files from Amazon Simple Storage is quick and easy using Backazon. Use the Restore Wizard to find files, folders and drives on the Amazon servers and copy them to your computer.
Using a simple tree structure, you can choose to restore an entire backup job, or 'drill down' to certain files and restore those only. Allowing for individual file selection, gives you control over the upload and download charges that will apply from Amazon Web Services.

1. When using the Restore Wizard, first use the drop down field to choose the Crate from which you want to restore files. If more then one crate is in the selection, it will default to the list of Cans within that Crate. Remember that Cans are where your Backup Jobs are located at the Amazon centers. Once a Crate and Can are selected, press the Next button.
2. Because you are accessing a secure location on the Amazon servers, you will be prompted for the password into that Can. Type in your password and press Try Again button.

3. Once the password is entered correctly, Backazon will then make contact with Amazon servers and display the Can you are trying to access. From the Tree structure, you can simply press the Next button and select the whole Can to restore, or you can use the nodes to 'drill down' into the Can and select individual files for restore.

4. Make your file or Can selection from the Restore Wizard tree structure and press the Next button to continue with the restore. You have the option to include or not to include, sub directories. Sub directories would be anything below the tier you have selected to restore. By default, this check box is set to Include your sub directories.
5. The final step in the Restore Wizard, would be to review what actions are about to happen, based on your restore options. Backazon will show you from what Can you are restoring from, where it was originally copied from your machine and the destination of where the file(s) will land, once you complete the copy.
6. If you do nothing more at this screen, then Backazon will default to restoring your files to the location on your machine, from where they originally came. Because of this, Backazon is set to NOT overwrite those existing files. You must use the check box and select the Overwrite Existing Files option, in order for the restore to proceed to the original location.
7. You also have the option to change the Copy To location. Use the link that says Change and browse to a new location to restore your files.
8. When your restore options are as you want them, press the Copy button to begin the restore.
