Before you can use Backazon, you need to download it from our web site and install it on your Windows computer. To download and install Backazon, choose one of the "Install Now" buttons located on our site.

Depending on your version of Windows, you will get a confirmation message after you click the "Install Now" button.  The sample screens shown on this page are from Windows Vista, but other versions of Windows are similar.

You can choose the Run button to begin the installation right away.  If you do this, Windows will download the file to your Temporary Internet Files folder, and then run the installation from there.

If you choose the Save button, Windows will ask you where you would like to save the file.  After the download is complete, you can begin the installation by double-clicking on the downloaded file.

The next window confirms that you want to install Backazon and gives you the opportunity to see our certificate by clicking on our company name.  We use a certificate to "sign" our programs so that it is harder for the "bad guys" to create a forgery of our software.

Choose the Run button to continue.

After the installer loads, you'll see the Backazon Setup - Welcome screen.

Choose Next to continue.

The next window displays the End-User License Agreement. In order to continue, you must read and indicate that you accept the License Agreement by clicking in the check box. 

After you do this, you can select the Next button to continue.

The next window allows you to indicate where Backazon should be installed. You can select a different installation directory by clicking the Change button or typing in a new location.

Note: This is an optional step. Backazon should install just fine in the default location given.

Choose the Next button to continue.

The next window confirms that you want to proceed with the install. To begin installing, choose the Install button.

If you are running Windows Vista, you may get another window asking you to login as an administrator or asking if you want to continue the installation.  Follow the directions given on these windows and the installation will begin.

If you are upgrading a previous version of Backazon, you may get a window that says some files are in use. If Backazon or the Backazon Engine is running, they need to be closed before the new version can be installed.

The default option of "Close the applications and attempt to restart them" should work fine.  If you choose the other option, you will need to reboot your computer after the installation of Backazon is complete.
